Perfect?

What is perfect?  Perfect in whose eyes?  Perfect according to whose standards?  There is no perfect in human life.  Take the time to look at perfect.  Tear it apart.  What do you find?
You may find the authentic you.  Live authentically.

Challenge yourself

When we do something that is uncomfortable, that stretches us and challenges us, we gain confidence and trust in ourselves that enhances and enlivens our spirits.  The first step is to be aware of what we want to do or notice that we are stagnet and looking for "something."  That "something" is a new way of thinking or a new adventure, some new way of telling and showing ourselves another part of who we are. Perhaps it is something small and simple such as trying a new food. Perhaps it is a medium size venture such as signing up to volunteer.  Or perhaps it is a large leap such as a move across country or going back to school.  Whatever your inner voice is hinting at stop, get quiet, listen for a moment.  Record in a journal what you hear.  Notice the little things that keep popping up to give you hints about the next step.  Giant step or baby step, either way, honor rather than ignore them. Acknowledge them rather than thinking they don't count. Follow the bread crumbs that are laid out for you. When fear, self-doubt, or excuses threaten to side track you, learn to stare them down, or let them go, or speak to them in a voice that says" I'm the boss, not you. This is where I am going with or without you." Or whatever words work for you to help you to let those self-defeating thoughts go and keep you moving in the direction you want to go.  The direction of freedom.  Once we gain a confidence in one area of our life, we always have it and can build on it. We then challenge ourselves, not because we are bored, stagnet, or inert but because we've gained trust in ourselves and  choose to take on more meaningful activities with joy and pleasure. When we have challenged ourselves and won, we want to do it again and again because it feels good.  This keeps our brains and bodies and spirits young, excited about life, and vibrant. Challenge yourself.  Live authentically.  http://liveauthentically.org/

What does it mean to live authentically?

To live authentically means being true to the deepest part (or some may say highest part) of yourself.  The real you.  The one that always looks after you no matter what your personality is saying or doing.  Notice the difference between the two.  The deepest part of you and your personality part.  Yes, there is a difference.  Take the time to be aware of that.  Notice the One who observes. The One deep inside that has the answers when you take the time to get out of your own way by letting go of the little ego thoughts that cause anxiety, worry, righteousness, self-doubt and all of the other lower level feelings.  Get out of your own way by taking the time to sit quietly and notice what the bigger part of you is trying to say.  If you have trouble letting the little thoughts go, then just observe them with courage and compassion. Give them permission to take a vacation.  Send them somewhere happy and peaceful, all expenses paid.  One-way trip if you wish.  Or if you really want them to return, you can certainly give them a round trip ticket, but why?  The really high quality thoughts will be there again when you need them, the others may behave like little spoiled children who want to come back in to create havoc.  It's your choice whether to allow them back into your head to make a mess or not.  Recognize that you do have that choice.  Honor your choice.  Honor yourself.  What really feels good?  Not the pretend feel-good like a night of drunkeness, but the real, true, authentic feel-good you get when you treat yourself honorably with kindness, integrity, and nurturing. Listen to your Self, the One that is connected with the Divine, and live authentically.

Live Authentically - Be true to you

Welcome to the Live Authentically blog!
Live Authentically is a wellness program that helps you to create your life, your way.  It is designed to help you to discover your inner potential and to gain insight into the big questions in life such as "Who am I?  What am I here to do"  What's stopping me?" and "How can I create the life I want?"  Creativity is inspired by using humor, games, collage, journaling, and more as we explore topics that include communication, personality, values, strengths, time, stress, money, life purpose, and goals.  You will complete the course with a new understanding of who you are, intention statements of what you intend to do and be, and an action plan designed to implement your new vision of yourself.

My vision is to support people in their personal growth and wellness through unique courses offered as workshops, retreats, destination retreats, and on the internet.

My mission statement is to facilitate the process that guides people to live authentically by accessing, honoring, and using their own inner wisdom and intuition.
